For Gordon Robertson, CEO of the Christian Broadcasting Network, the Six Day War was much more than a historical event. Although Robertson was only nine years old at the time and lived 6,000 miles away from where the bloodshed occurred, the events of that summer in Jerusalem had a profound effect on him.

“I vividly remember my father sitting all of us down and explaining to us the biblical significance of what had just occurred,” Robertson told The Jerusalem Post.

Saudi Arabia has a “very positive” feeling toward Israel, US President Donald Trump said in Jerusalem on Monday, indicating in various public statements that this will be a key ingredient in his new efforts to broker an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal.

“I just left Saudi Arabia,” Trump said in public comments with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the King David Hotel, at the second of their three meetings on Monday.

5. Yarok food safety system wins UN Innovation award

Israeli tech system to enable fresh food producers in developing countries to detect hazardous bacteria quickly, with results in 45 minutes.

Yarok Technology Transfer, an innovation-based developer of fast, accurate tests for the food industry, today announced it has received the United Nations International Award 2017 for “Innovative Ideas and Technology on Agribusiness.”

The Jerusalem company was honored for its fast testing system that is able to detect the presence of dangerous bacteria in food in just 45 minutes.
